Don’t you love it when you’re standing around minding your business and nature has something in stall that you didn’t expect. This morning was exactly like this. I witnessed the most breathtaking sunrise that arrived and was gone in what felt like a few minutes.
Just to think that this was such an excellent inspiration to think about re-setting my sails for the year.
Have you created any goals that you’re aiming to achieve or is your sunrise still waiting for you in tomorrow’s horizon.
How are you starting the day? I’ve been making some tiny changes that seem to be helping. Here are a few:
-A couple of sets of sit ups
– yoga sun salutes for 20 minutes each morning
– Full body massage once per week to take away the tightness and stiffness from sitting down
– more green vegetables and fruits for snacks
– a short 15-20 minute walk along the beach to the train station
– Earlier to bed
All these tiny things add up to a great change in my day. I have more energy and am ready to tackle anything that’s worth it.
Enjoy your day and hope you can see the sunset tonight 💕💕💕
Happy new year friends! It’s about time I filled you in on what I’m doing and what I’m learning so that I can help you and me get healthier.
Let me know what you’d like to know about travelling and how I can help. Share your travel tips too. Here goes a quick list of 6 hints to keep you well during your travels.
1. Remember Fruit Vegetables and Fibre
It’s easy to get your fruit for breakfast and veggies for lunch and dinner. Eat a few prunes or avocados and nuts during the day and if you’re like me and want to stay regular especially after long flights so take some Fibergy with you and mix with fresh fruit juice, yum.
2. Water Water Water
Sometimes the tap water even after boiling tastes gross so buy more bottled water than you need and drink more than you want. If you’re like me you’ll want to use bottled water for tea too or your tell can smell like chlorine
3. Energy and Immunity
Pack your vitamins minerals and any Chinese medicine you would normally take. I pack extra antioxidants and Chinese medicine for colds and immunity as I find after long periods of air conditioning I become more frail. For less space throw away packaging and use Usana Healthpak supplements that are easy to carry.
4. Time Zone and Sleep
Wake up when it’s morning and sleep when it’s night. Forget about your past time zone and focus on where you are now. Who cares what time it is in Sydney… oops don’t call your folks or bestie at 3am even if you are having fun!!
5. Exercise and Meditate
Obviously we do tend to exercise while travelling as there is so much to see and do but it’s important to keep active due to long flights and staying on ships. On the plane I’ll go to the back section and do a 30 min moving meditation (stretching and relaxing).
On the ship it’s easy to do yoga on the deck in an inconspicuous place. I practise my 15-20 mins of sun salutes every day and use the hotel mat as my towel. Meditate on long flights and before bed thinking about what you’re grateful for. I pray and thank God you.
6. Relax and Romance
Chill out while travelling as there is lot that you can’t control eg travel times, delays, issues in hotels, food or weather. There’s no need to be a stress head!! Relax with your family, rekindle your romance with your loved one and flirt like crazy if you like!
Love to hear your comments and more blogs soon.
1. 💜 Start your day with a smile and blessed feelings that you’re alive, your loved ones are alive and you have a bed a home and a life
2.💜 Take care of your thoughts remembering what we think is what we create
3. 💜 Plan what your day will look like and what you’ll do. Think what do I need to do today and how do I want the next 24 hours to unfold giving purpose to your day
4. 💜 Eat exercise and exhale treating your body and mind with respect by putting in the goodness you deserve. Remember to take breaks to breathe and give yourself thanks for everything you’re doing
5 💜 Dress for abundance and know that how you look affects how you feel and perform. Take time to dress in your own style and if you work with a uniform or a suit environment maybe it’s what others can’t see that is special!
6. 💜 Everyday Action 60 minutes and being purposeful with your day. Upon rising give yourself this time- 20 minutes for exercise, 20 minutes for writing your goals and daily plan and 20 minutes to listen or read something that motivates you.
7. 💜 Gratefulness for 5 minutes as you think about your day and give thanks for at least 3 things that happened, 3 relationships or people who were present or whatever it is that makes you grateful
How do you start your day?
What do you enjoy everyday? Exercise, your morning coffee or having a relaxing bath after a hard day’s work. I’m enjoying the walk to the station along the beach. I often feel like I’m on holiday as I feel the sand between my feet and my mind is chilling out. See how you can bring beauty, relaxation and calm into your everyday life and activities. The meditation workshop on Sunday was a huge success. We relaxed, we ate and we laughed. Today we learnt about the chakras and how they can be stimulated by using our everyday foods, drinks and scents. Amazing we all saw our auras!! Some of us wanted to tell our aura what colour it should be but we remained calm and let our own bodies decide what was right.
Our morning tea and lunch was enjoyable as we talked and joked about life getting to know new friends.
We did sitting meditation, moving motion meditation were blanketed by the protection of our aura and all together learnt the Moving meditation to stay in the moment.
We found out that meditation is not just about relaxing or being mindful it can absolutely help with improving sleep, anxiety and staying more confident and positive.
Thanks to all the participants in the day and a big thanks to my friend Melissa who brought her DoTerra oils to share.
